The Louis Seize was an era between 1770 and 1795, once known for its daring color schemes which don't seem very pleasing to the modern eye, but now only scarcely mentioned, mostly in context of furniture.
In fact the English language even lacks a term for this era, so that I used the German term "Louis Seize" as title.
